Part 4 Mini Short Series
I still felt pretty worn down and sick in my stomach, hunger was beginning to really distract me, more than the tag along bear cub. As we trekked further along the stream I began looking for berry bushes, at the moment there seemed only trees and the cub, no food around.
Morning mists began to dry up and dissipate, the young follower seemed to be getting slower and slower every minute. I didn't understand why the little thing wanted to be near me, I thought wild animals avoided humans at all cost. Maybe it was all alone in the forest, just like me, though quite the worse for wear from the looks of the little beast.
We stopped every few minutes so the bear could rest, as well as me, sometimes getting a drink, sometimes just to scavenge for little bugs. I know, gross, but I was beginning to feel starved, and who really knew how long I had been unconscious prior to waking up with my dirt meal.
Around the middle of the day, as close as I could tell, I decided that it would be wise to stop and begin the process of trying for a fire. I bent down and pet the bear cub again and it laid upon the ground like an old dog. After making sure the little one was going to stay put, I was getting quite attached with the silent friend, I walked about the forest collecting twigs, dead branches, and dry leaves and cones.
So, the adventure of figuring out how to lite the fire began.
Part 5 Mini Short Series
Welcome to my blog, I post just the things that matter in my life. I am currently working on two projects which will be posted to everyday. The first is my auto biography, which most people who know me say is quite intense and unique. I am also going to be posting excerpts from my first novels rough draft up until I finish and publish the entire work.
