Everything Before Now Comes After

Everything Before Now Comes After
By Ian W.G. Sparkman
These lives we all have are short; some live fast and free as the birds we all see flying.
These lives we all have are short; some live past and be as the words I write so deeply.
Leaves turn on the trees, snow falls to the ground, my heart beats faster than sound.
These lives we all have are short; few fulfill their dreams and lose their souls to the failed.
These lives we all have are short; we'll turn and run sometimes, others will stand and fight.
In our hearts is what is right, whether to be damned or others can't understand.
The past is gone forever and the future is never here though both are close at hand.
These lives we all have are special; some are unsure and others nothing but sure.
These lives we all have are special; come on and learn from what you feel, alright?
Leaves turn on the trees, snow falls to the gound, my heart beats faster than sound.
These lives we all have are special; down to the last child, down to the last one around.
These lives we all have are special; crowns given to the wild, frowns are ever so abound.
In this life we have seen what would bring most to their knees begging god upon god to end it please. Yet here we stand, hand in hand regardless of what has been laid down. The past is there, forever and always, yet unlike others we thrive from those days we we're the crazies. Looking forward, it seems the same, only now there are two who can stand hand in hand tall and proud to face the wind that is life and conquer it all given the time.
