They Live On

Towering, trying to touch the sky,
Snow capped, tree lined, with streams and rivers,
not far behind.
Snow capped, tree lined, with streams and rivers,
not far behind.
Some mere shadows of their former selves,
Some ever larger than ancient tales on shelves,
Though trapped in silence, they live on,
to watch the world.
Some ever larger than ancient tales on shelves,
Though trapped in silence, they live on,
to watch the world.
